Whether you want to blend in or stand out, your aircraft’s paint scheme is a reflection of your aircraft’s mission. Once your vision has been captured in a computer-generated, full-color rendering, our artisans go to work. All steps in the process are performed by a team with more 30 years of aircraft painting experience.

The Midcoast Process:

  • Stripping
  • "All-quick" system to fill rivet lines
  • Etch and alodine preparation
  • Customized paint color matching
  • Application of three undercoats
    of base color
  • Bright work polishing
  • Thorough detailing of the final product

This same team helped design our 46,000-square-foot paint hangar, which utilizes a series of linked systems to condition the air, plus a three-stage filtration system to trap and eliminate remaining airborne contaminants. Why is this important? Airborne contaminants interfere with paint application and adhesion which are essential to appearance and corrosion resistance. The difference is evident in the quality of our paint jobs.
