Jet Aviation Sorocaba, Brazil, commences maintenance operations in Brazil; receives ANAC Repair Station Certificate
Jet Aviation has begun offering maintenance services from its Sorocaba, Brazil, MRO facility. The company has been awarded a Repair Station Certificate by the national civil aviation authority in Brazil, Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC). This allows the facility to provide line maintenance, engine and airframe inspections and repairs for Gulfstream G200 aircraft. Jet Aviation plans to add Gulfstream V, G450 and G550 certification in the future.
Norbert Ehrich, senior vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation’s Sorocaba facility, said, “Our maintenance team is made up of Brazilian and FAA license holders, FlightSafety-trained technicians and an avionics specialist ready to serve Jet Aviation clients transiting the country and the surrounding regions.” “The G200 certification is just the first step in our growth plans for the region,” adds Gary Dempsey, president of Jet Aviation U.S. “We will apply for FAA certification as a next step this year, and are currently in discussions with other aircraft manufacturers for new authorizations to follow shortly.”
